How to wait for a door to open without keys
On accepting that not everything is meant for you, but if it is, it will find you even beneath the shores.
To wait is a silent plea of desperation. To wait for a door to open without unlocking its crevices is like standing in front of your fate, but this time you have the key.
Note how i wrote ‘key’ and not ’keys.’ not because it sounds better but because you really have one shot at this life and that is your key. To believe and hope is your key, just as it is to wait.
So in truth, you have the key deep inside you, but have you found it? Must it find you? Well, that is where you wait. and not wait with nothingness (if that’s even a thing), but wait with purpose. Wait with the expectation it will come as you practice hope.
Here are ways to practice hope:
close your eyes and breathe—as cliche as it sounds, this little action can reset your brainwave and your thoughts altogether.
now that you are fresh, think hard of it that you think you deserve. and brainstorm its consequences and advantages—here be true, maybe thinking about the duality of the door might save you some time.
change your daily language from ‘’s never going to happen’ to ‘it will.’
from ‘maybe it’s not for me’ to ‘I’ll try my hardest and if it’s not for me, i was destined for something greater.’
and maybe that something greater isn’t a new 4-story house or the perfect love of your life; maybe it’s finding contentment within yourself to create the space.
the front of the door is never the same as the back nor do they share the same purpose
